I believe all brides are beautiful and it is my job to capture their beauty. However at times I see that unfortunately, many brides don’t always choose hair & makeup styles that will enhance their natural beauty.
If you’re not sure on how to choose a hair style for your wedding day or which hair style to pick… Then……Trust a Professional Hair and Makeup Stylist like myself, Kelly Weavers bridal hair & makeup, just as many of Brisbane’s Professional Photographers suggest their brides to do.
Not only is it my job to do great hair & makeup for my brides, but I’ll also guide my brides in choosing the perfect “do” for there special day.
Let me explains that…..”when I do a brides trial, I ask lots of questions…..I ask to see photos of her dress, her bridesmaids dresses and the colours chosen, I also discuss the theme of the wedding so I can get a ‘feel’ for my bride and an idea of how she’d like to see herself on her wedding day. From that, I take into consideration, the brides face shape, including neck, ears and nose shapes and length….I pretty much notice any prominent features the bride has, too either bring out her best features or disguise her unflattering ones. I just don’t do hair and makeup…I also become somewhat of a total stylist for brides….guiding them to look there best of there wedding day.”
I’ll explain why I feel the following brides haven’t quite captured the right hair style for their face/body shape/look and I’ll explained how I would have changed it ….
This hair style is not in proportion for this brides face. I feel that by having such a big wide ‘knob’ on top – it makes the brides chin look extremely small which then makes her neck look even thinner and longer. If she wanted her hair up, then she should have had the top ‘knob’ not as wide and possibly had the style a little softer at the ears and fringe.
This hair style is also too severe and plain for this bride….I would have recommended a softer half up & half down look, to blend with the fluffy/soft shoulder on the dress. By having softness around the brides shoulders, it would have taken the emphasis away from her small chest and extremely thin neck.
This bride has way to much hair down around her shoulders - her hair looks to be smothering her, plus the shape for the top is to rounded, which looks egg like. I feel that all this bride needed to do was to pull a little hair from above the ears and to have the top sweeping to the side softy.
Most people don’t realise that so much went into choosing hair styles for brides, but when you know what to look for….It doesn’t take a lot to enhance a brides best features!!
My advice To All Future Brides - you need to trust your wedding hair stylist to assist you with choosing the perfect hair style for YOUR special day….that’s why you should trust a professional like myself, Kelly Weavers Bridal Hair & Makeup, has I am experienced and I’m skilled with wedding do’s, plus I will happily give my honest opinions so I can makes all of my Brides a Beautiful version of themselves.
