Oriental Brides

Oriental/Asian brides hair and makeup is different to most European brides. 

Oriental brides hair is different thickness and texture, plus curls hold differently to European Brides.  It is also obvious that Oriental Brides complexion and face features are different from western brides.  Plus their is the added fact that many Oriental Brides have extremely long days, with early morning tea-services, that the hair and makeup must last even longer than other brides.

For this reason Oriental brides really need to only trust someone who is experienced with their hair and skin type.

After many years of experience, both in salon with cutting and colouring this hair type, and then in styling for hundreds of brides, high school formals and special occasions,I have mastered both Oriental/Asian Brides hair & makeup!  Once you’ve seen the photos below, I’m sure you will agree.

Airbrushed or Traditional Makeup….

I’m often asked, “What’s the difference between airbrushed and traditional makeup?”

Here’s my simple explanation…...

Airbrushed makeup is simply, fine mists of a special liquid foundation sprayed on to the face thru an air compressor; where traditional makeup is cream, liquid or powder foundation either rub or patted onto the skin with a sponge or brush.

When applied by a professional makeup artist, like myself, both result are flawless, natural complexions for my brides and there bridal parties. Unfortunately traditional makeup can look thick, patchy and ‘ghostly’ when not applied by a professional. At there trial I’ve had a few brides comment, that airbrushed makeup isn’t right for them, it makes them feel ‘too perfect’ and not quite themselves.

As Airbrushed Makeup is a fine mist of foundation; it is extremely light weight, feels natural, and is perfect for covering blemishes. Not only that, the foundation colours can be mixed to custom meet brides individual skin tones, which better covers skin discolouration and scars (sometimes even tattoos).

Airbrushed makeup is far superior to traditional makeup with it lasting up to 10-12 hours. Airbrushed makeup doesn’t need touch-ups, re powdering or re applying, if necessary just a blot (not wipe) for any tears. With airbrushing, Brides look perfect all day, from start to finish!
